For starters the sofa/sectional is too big for this room. Any plans to buy a smaller one.

Try the tv on the wall opposite the fireplace, with the sofa facing that wall or on the window wall. I like the color of the curtains but they are much too skimpy. You need more panels on each side.

You have colors that just don't match (yellow paint, drapes, blue cushion chair, pillows on couch).

Another shade of yellow is not going to fix that. Lose the polka-dotted pillows and pick a color out of the rug for your walls.

No plans to buy a new couch at this time unfortunately. It’s not quite in the budget and it’s pretty new.

I’m planning on getting rid of the Papasan chair and buying two accent chairs. Good idea on getting rid of the polka dot pillows. They just came with the couch so I’m not attached.

I’ll definitely get some more curtain panels. I moment you said that I totally agreed. That’s why they don’t look right.

Luckily warm colors have returned and you have done a beautiful job with bringing the colors in the room together. I’m guessing the rug was one of the early finds—I love it!

If you don’t have the budget to change out the sofa, could you set it in front of the window. That would give you some space for the frame tv on the wall where the sofa currently is. Have a small cabinet underneath the tv, so it's not just floating in the room. Paint the walls white or an off white (maybe SW alabaster) and add some additional orange or red pillows that match the rug to the sofa.

Hi. Have you tried moving the sofa to face the window? The chaise section would be against the wall and the couch would, of course, extend towards where the papasan chair is now (but there still seems to be room to walk around it). Angle the TV in the corner where the floor lamp is now. All pretty easy for me to say, I'm not the one having to move the furniture to see if that arrangement would work.😉

Is your sectional chaise able to be flipped to the other end?

I think a pair of natural brown chairs could work with the sofa and carpet. Something with legs like MCM for example.

I agree move the sofa and place the tv on the far wall. The table seems the right height for viewing but skimpy...layer a few large pieces around and under it... baskets, vases, art, to help fill in the area.

Hi, I personally wouldn't paint the walls yellow again even if it's a lighter one it's still yellow and there is already a lot of color in this room. I would do a soft warm white or a cream for the walls, change the pillows on the sofa so they go with your blue chair I think with these two things you won't have to change the drapes it will be enough to tone down the space a bit.

BM - Ivory Tusk is a nice color that you might want to consider.

Would you consider putting the sofa in front of the windows and hanging or placing the tv on the small wall accross from it? BM Ivory Tusk would look great on your living room walls, it would look great on your kithchen walls also.
