I realize The Amazing Race usually takes a couple of episodes or three to really get going, but last night it was dragging along. Probably will get better as more teams are eliminated.

I don’t ever watch Survivor, but was happy to see AR back to the format of using ’regular’ people and not celebrities as participants.

I think the reason it seems to drag for the first coiple of episodes is the continual introduction of the contestants. they seem more focused on you knowing their backgrounds than what is happening.

I felt bad for the contestant on yellow who got acid reflux. Its just so painful. Evidently they can’t bring medications, and probably for a good reason. Guess he should have thought of that in advance.

I know that the contestants are given their regular meds, if their condition is manageable, think birth control meds, for example.. But surely not OTC antacids.

Oh, and this was interesting, as a twist.
