Hi Amberley, Thanks for the compliment! My marble is Calacutta Vagli and my cabinets are from Quality Custom Cabinetry. The color was chosen in the shop I ordered it from, but my contractor made so many nicks in the cabs after they were installed that we went through 2 more coats of paint and I am not sure of the color they used. I should ask. They were trying to match the original color. Yes, the hardward is from Top Knobs Tuscany collection-good eye! I have a pallete of cream and grey/blue with copper accents going on in the kitchen. If you look up Stiles at the bottom of the page you will see a thread where you can see some of my pics on photoshop. I will try to get you a close-up of the knobs soon. Of course I meant will it look nice with the more traditional look I'm going for or will the hardware create a more modern look :) Most of the kitchens that I have seen in the galleries that have light maple and polished nickel or chrome hardware look more modern to me overall not necessarily because of the hardware. I would like to use cup pulls for the drawers and then maybe something more ornamental for the doors. I think the lighting decision will be the trickiest of all for me, I'm so indecisive!

Only do that if you don't want to pick something special as your hardware. Use plain knobs and pulls. Using dark against dark makes everything blend in and you do not notice the details so there is no point in spending a lot of money on hardware that won't get noticed. If you want to keep the same color tones as an ORB faucet, then pick brass (yes, it's BACK!) knobs and pulls. It will be a bit brighter and still have the right undertones to use with ORB. Maybe a brass light fixture too? (NOT bright brass, "living" brass like you'd find if you found a fixture at an antique store)

I do like the sample route and will likely report back once I can compare in person. eeerrrmmm - I'm not sure what color pulls you have, but I'm talking about the accent piece that, when I check on cafe's website, seem to match their copper pulls. On mine it will be stainless with that little bronze-ish copper-ish piece, and that's what I want to match. So I would be interested to hear which you have so I can tell what matches what (if that makes sense!).
