Comments (2)" you may find the Bison head coach in his office studying film of Oklahoma or Florida State.....Hell also be curled up in the fetal position." Holy smokes! Well, OU wasn't that great this year so maybe you all might stand a chance? lol. I thought I read the other day that our schedules were supposed to come out this week or the next. I'll see what I can find out....See MoreOakley, are you OK? (Storm Watch!)
Comments (29)Tina, I have no idea where you live, obviously you don't live in tornado alley, because if you did, watching TV is a MUST during tornado season. As other's have said before me, you do go out of your way informing us you don't watch TV. We get it, okay? These storms were predicted last week. Every.single.day the weathermen would tell us to be prepared on Monday and Tuesday. A siren doesn't help all that much either. They go off right before a tornado hits, which can be too late to seek shelter. I just wish more people installed storm cellars when they build a home. I wish the government could give grants to people who can't afford one. But if you ever move here and had no idea a mile wide tornado was coming your way, you WILL get some really funny looks. :) They even closed schools and postponed H.S. graduations a few HOURS before the storms came. Because we're weather aware. The people who died didn't have cellars....See MoreOakley! You need to post that pic here...
Comments (19)Thanks again, everyone! Irish, when they were pregnant, they chose the name Henry almost immediately. I wasn't sure about the name, too old fashioned. Then we started calling him Henry while still in the womb and by the time he was born, Henry fit him to a T! Sometimes we call him Hank....See MoreMTN! Here’s Your Porch,,,Thanks To Oakley
Comments (13)Thank you for thinking of me! We are redoing all of the decking, so while the contractor was here I asked him to look into my screened porch idea. He wasn't sure how best to do it since we have round columns he'd have to attach the frames to, and he was also unsure whether we could really go column to column, since they are 10 feet apart. I think we could do something I would be happy with from a "curb appeal" standpoint, but sitting on the porch today I realize how much the double screen doors and the supports needed for them, and the lights etc would impact my view looking out. Right now, my fave spot is on the one end of the sofa, and when I i sit there I look out at a wide open 10 foot wide expanse at the top of the steps. I don't think I want to interrupt that in any way....See Morerhizo_1 (North AL) zone 7
