Deciding between PVC decking and capped composite decking.
Comments (0)I am redoing the flooring of my porch. I prefer the PVC samples I have seen compared to the capped composite samples. My google search for PVC vs. capped composite hasn't helped my decision- I found equal pros and cons for both. It's a small porch, no wider than 6 feet, so there will be no long sections of PVC. I would appreciate your advice and any positive experiences with PVC decking. Thanks....See MoreOutside deck looking for an outdoor rug. For composite deck.
Comments (7)Love the suggested rugs. Diane, we just built a composite deck and the manufacturer says to only use natural fiber rugs (ie. Jute...). Not many options there. Did you get a synthetic rug and did you have any issues? Also curious - what brand of decking material? Thanks in advance....See MoreLow deck ideas - composite decking?
Comments (6)IMO fake wood with all that real wood would not work. Have you thought about a patio instead of a deck maybe in slate . We have some of our 2300 sq ft of deck quite low to the ground and we do find it needs redoing more often than the rest of it higher off the ground. We used cedar with a solid stain a bit of a pain foo upkeep but suits our house. If I could have afforded it I would have done IPE but our house is not wood so I think it would have worked....See MoreDeck upgrade - Composite or just glass railings ??
Comments (3)I love my glass and steel railings , we have wood deck and I am not a lover of composite decking , yeah the wood takes some care but I still like it better. Have you checked out IPE for the deck I would have gone that route but we hace 2300 sq ft of deck and would have been bank breaking. The IPE works nicelt becuase it is real wood, you can either let it weather to gray or oil it to keep the wood color....See MoreHALLETT & Co.
