How many pendants over a 9' island?
Comments (5)3 pendants might not be enough, what wattage are the bulbs for that new pendant? And they look like they'll be spotlights coming straight down & not have much of a spread( probably not the right terminology). Because the glass looks kinda opaque or dark. Also look at how far down they will hang, the higher they are the more spread they will have , but maybe not enough brightness on the surface. So sorry, I don't really have a good answer for you, but that's something to think bout. Here is a link that might be useful: granite countertops...See MoreHow many Pendant lights over island
Comments (1)I think it depends on the size light fixture you are planning on having. For example, our island is going to be 75"x28" approximately and we are using 3 lights. But our lights are very narrow (I think about 3") and the light is more focused rather than wide. Not knowing what you are planning on using, I would probably try to have a pendant over the shorter side of the L and probably 3 lights over the long side. But again, it depends on the pendant size and light spread....See MoreHow many pendants over a bar area (not kitchen island)?
