I just picked and ate my first ripe Ananas Noire tomato. I had been anticipating a rich, complex tomato flavor, but was pretty diappointed. The flavor was very bland, especially when compared to the SunGold and Black Cherry tomatoes I've also harvested today. Admittedly, we have had a string of recent thunderstorms, which could easily contribute to the bland flavor. Hopefully, August will be a bit drier, and I might have a different flavor experience.
