It is sung during the 7th Inning Stretch. The visiting team has played their part of the 7th inning (the top of the 7th), then there is a break during which Take Me Out To The Ballgame is sung and the grounds crew does a touch-up of the infield. After that, the bottom of the 7th is played - the home team takes their turn at bat.
