My jade has these black spots too. It is a baby jade my friend gave me (first one for me!)about an inch tall with 4 leaves and 2 tiny leaves at the top. After I transplanted it I didn't want to water it for a long time because I read the roots need to heal first, right? So, I kept it inside because it's been raining every day here in Florida. Then after about a week and a half inside, I put it outside. It got one heavy rain, but I have it in well-draining cactus soil, so assumed that was okay. It gets FULL FULL sun all day outside. After about another week outside I noticed all of my succulents that I had recently transplanted and moved inside and outside with this plant looked sunburned. It is weird to think this could happen to a desert plant, but they did. My aloe had red tan lines where the upper leaves blocked the lower leaves. A baby aloe I just moved to its own pot turned brown and squishy. Luckily, I moved it back inside and watered and it came back to a healthy green. Anyway, this after this sunburning, my jade leaves got a litte bumpy. They're still hard but they aren't waxy looking like I've seen on big jades. Then they developed these brown spots. Could this be from the sun. The spots look like they are part of the leaf and not a fungus. Sorry about such a long question, any ideas?

Someone else posted about this yesterday. There are several different fungal infections that can be the cause. I put a link in that post with photos, etc. I'd spray these with a fungicide asap. I use Daconcil on mine. They usually have it at Lowes or Home Depot.

something really strange is happening with houzz. I keep getting error messages, the “web page was reloaded because a problem occurred “ then it totally flips out. I posted a msg and photos and it all disappeared. anyway, what I said was I’m glad it sounds unlike downy mildew. It must be either black spot or a soil and root problem. But I’m hopeful because the problem leaves are much fewer in number. These are all I found today Do they look like blackspot? the canes still have spots but there are new shoots and buds. The leaves still look smaller than normal. I’ll keep spraying with fungicide and see what happens when the buds open. this is how the Rose looks now It’s improving but still nothing like it used to be

I took leaves off a badly BS diseased rose bush before and threw those leaves into our Double Ko rose bush all season long to see what would happen...Nothing happened...lol...As far as I'm concerned if a rose bush is truly resistant if will remain clean regardless... Except maybe if a new strain of BS is introduced into the yard that the rose bush is susceptible too ...Or rose bush becomes weakened... BS spores are everywhere regardless of how well we clean up..lol...Just my opinion...lol But if a person feels better by cleaning up then I think they should for peace of mind..
