Comptonia peregrina

This seldom used NA shrub has settled nicely on this low bank in front of our house, with a large white pine and red maple to the west and southwest. They get morning sun, which goes into shade by early afternoon. I planted six of them as small container stock in 2020. It wants to colonize the bank, which I should probably let it do. The foliage is highly fragrant and can be smelled from a distance. Is anyone using it in the garden?
