I would be careful rating current products based on experience with those purchased years ago. Many manufacturers have squeezed price points by lowering quality and/or have closed US plants and sent production off-shore. I think you have a right to ask where a product is made. I have a chair in the shop now proudly stating "Built in the USA," but if you look elsewhere you see "Manufactured in Malaysia." This means someone in the US took it out of a flat box and assembled it with a few bolts.

Four Seasons is a great company, they are a family owned business. I am a designer and I have a wholesale account. I have many accounts with different companies from very high end to medium. There furniture is nice medium to higher end for excellent prices. All companies were having problems with production during COVID and other for reasons. I am surprised to hear it is taking this long to receive orders from them. I live in NC, orders normally take around 4 weeks unless they are out of the fabric that was selected. A few things could be holding up orders, it depends on who you buy it from. When you select a piece, look at the details, measurements, cushions, mattress. Standard is fine for some people and it sits fine but you have choices to upgrade to fit your needs and your budget. I think there upgrade prices are very fair and worth it if you like a down softer feel, if you buy a sleeper I would advice not to order firm because a sleeper sits firmer than a sofa. My clients have never had a problem with what they bought, they have been pleased. I am working on a Multi Project right now I am ordering 5 sofas, 10 chair and many dining chairs. Since I am on a tight budget I am ordering standard but I am happy with a standard feel. I am ordering the Benton Sofa Queen sleeper 41” deep for a client in white sunbrella, we upgraded all the cushions to down feather blend, throw pillows in down,upgraded mattress to Memory Flex Mattress. Before you order from a store or designer ask them to call and ask Four Seasons what the receiving date will be. It may vary some but it shouldn’t be long unless they are out of the fabric but they can check this to. The back orders that I have had have taken around 1 to 2 weeks. If there is a problem getting a date you might want to select another fabric or buy what you need and send it in as COM order which is a grade 1-3 price, sunbrella is a 10 grade. Good luck!

I have a recliner chair and recliner (2) sofa from Palliser. Its now about 8 years old. It is all leather, even the sides and back. The sofa has worn well - no tell tale worn areas (that's basically where I sit). However, the recliner has areas where the leather has "peeled". It kinda looks like what your skin does when you get a sunburn if you know what I mean. The area is on the part of the recliner where my husband puts his elbows and on the part where the back of his thighs just above the knees would rub the recliner. I should have called the place I bought it from when it first started happening but I didn't. I don't know if they would have done anything about it or not. The warranty was 5 years on materials and this probably started happening just before that. It's not bad but you can tell the difference from the condition of the sofa and the recliner. Hubby does "really use" his recliner, throws his legs over the arms of it and sits on the floor in front of it and leans back on the same area that his thighs would rub on it. Not sure if the leather was faulty on that piece or if its the "normal wear and tear". I wouldn't consider it abused by any means such as kids being on it would cause problems. The structure of the pieces are solid, heavy and the mechanisms work great. We were told that you should use the recliner lever to lower and raise the footrest and not to just push on the footrest,so we make sure we use it correctly. Quality wise, structure wise, I think its a good company. I am at fault for not following through with the wear problem. I might have been able to have it repaired or replaced when it first started happening. Now I know its too late to do anything about it.

This is the La-Z-Boy "Van Buren" recliner we're getting for the TV room. I believe it also comes with curvy legs. DH insists his chair be leather, but I can pick the color. This is the La-Z-Boy "Pinnacle" loveseat. I plan to get it in a fabric. Both sides recline. There is a lumbar support that moves with you as you recline. It's also a "wall-hugger." And this is the matching La-Z-Boy "Pinnacle" recliner that I will get in the same fabric as the loveseat. It will be mine. The single recliner comes as a wall-hugger, or a glider/recliner, or a swivel recliner. I still have to pick the fabrics. That's the hard part! The Pinnacle line also has a sofa, but there's not room for on in my small TV room. We're opting for maximum comfort in this room. There will also be an older rocker/glider with gliding ottoman that Harry and I share.
