Comments (5)You guys are awesome - The common name for the Malvaviscus is Sleeping Hibiscus! I just looked up both of those and looks like that's what it is! Also known as Turk's Cap, as noted on the San Francisco Botanical Garden website. Comments (4)Tedhort, as usual, has done it again: Ricinus, the 'Caster Oil' plant, considered a weed in this part of the world. While the fruit cap is poisonous (and attractive to children) it is useful commercially as an ingrediant - at least it use to be - medicinally, as well as in the timber trade for varnishes....See MoreWhat is this mysterious plant?
