Driving on Highway One in summer fog on the higher ridges where it is really dense can be just as dangerous and difficult to see, so it isn't just the valleys, although pea soup fog and no sun for weeks at a time does get old fast, I remember lots of such winter weather back in college at UC Davis. The amazing thing to me was that you could go up to the 6th floor of the taller buildings and be completely above it, in brilliant sunshine. Tule fog does tend to keep the freezing temperatures at bay, and probably doesn't bother the plants one bit. Worst fog driving I have ever experienced is the typical daily fogs that form in the highlands of Mexico on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico coastal plain. It comes in like clockwork every afternoon before dusk, and on those twisting narrow mountain roads full of trucks and buses, it is much more dangerous driving than California freeways!

The OP has everything correct and the answer is Refin Ceramiche out of Italy. They make an outstanding porcelain and you cannot tell it's a print no matter how close you get. We have used this product in our builds time and again. The company is wonderful to deal with, and their product is second to none. Plus, we have their marble look tiles installed all over our office and you would be amazed at how many people walk in and ask where we purchased the marble from so they can get it too. Hi Kim, so many comments to fish through but I think the only for sure thing so far is the wood look tile flooring? SO do yourself a big favor here and commit to white tile. Keep it clean and classic. Bring in fresh color with your paint. If you want that blue tile then do just a touch as a stripe or trim in the shower. What are your counters? Cabinets? Fixtures? Here I've used the wood plank tile on a herringbone for floor. In shower kept it simple with a beveled white large format subway for walls. Inset niche with a Carrara hexagon and did the same on shower floor. It leans coastal with the paint color and Capiz shell chandelier.
