I attempted Abbaye de Cluny about 8 years ago; she always looked ivory, and then burned horribly in late May. Instead I grew Brandy and Just Joey, which did not have the attributes of ADC, but they held color and did not burn. I usually look to the Phoenix gardeners to see if something can take the heat because I have found that 105 degrees is very different than 115, or 121, and AZ is one place I have found that deals with extreme heat and even more persistent high temperatures that relentlessly delve near or into the 120's. July and August are our brutal months. It hit 122 in the city yesterday and it is still June. It is often in the 100's beyond midnight, was already 95 at 7 a.m. Wednesday, but all of this is coupled with drought conditions. The one hundred teens to 120's are the norm for 2+ months straight; it is dreadful. It would be great to discover other specific places that also deal with the heat and drought as we do because their plant selections could be more suitable for my area. This is an odd place to garden. Unlike Phoenix, it gets too cold to grow cactus without winter protection. Las Vegas could be a top contender for the "where not to live" places if you are an avid gardener and want to grow a wide range of annuals, perennials, roses and other plants in a garden. I read the thread, and saw the lovely photos and am eyeing Excellenz von Schubert... again... that is if we move. The Marie Pave took my breath away. There is also an abundance of information that I really need to siphon through and decipher in terms of my situation; especially related to the horse manure and termites. We do not have big termite issues here; unlike California, a termite inspection with a home purchase was standard protocol, but we could be moving my newly purchased and potted roses to the PNW, and that changes things. I really appreciate your advice because it is fundamental and I believe wise as the focus should also be the biological environment inclusive of soil and its components. This is my warm-toned floor. It's got soft gold over a light gray base with bronze veins. It doesn't scream gold. The floor and granite are large surfaces on parallel planes, so your eye is going to take it all in at once. With your choices it will be all gold, which is a very strong color. The floor you've shown also has a lot of orange in it. That's the problem I see, strong color, extremely popular during the Tuscan craze in kitchens, thereby making your new kitchen feel like it was installed in 1990. I'm not saying it's wrong, just that kitchens have changed so much just in this decade. Shoot, my kitchen is dated with the cherry cabinets! But you do what suits your home, and the popular white and gray doesn't suit mine. You love the honey tones, so use them in a ceramic backsplash. You really can't pull the cooler gray blue colors out because gold really dominates so that you don't even see the nuances of other colors in the granite, and especially when you step back and look at the overall room. Everything will be gold and orange. Another word about backsplashes--with a granite with that much pattern, you want a solid color or subtly shaded tile for your backsplash. Another 90s thing you'll see is busy travertine or mosaic backsplash with a highly patterned granite. Edit: Thinking some more, all of your selections are the same intensity, tone, saturation of color. All of a medium to dark value. So I'd use a very light backsplash in the honey tone to give you a lighter value in the mix. My cabinets, which have darkened since this first month photo, are the dark value in my kitchen.

I don't know about the OP but @Cynthia we decided to go ahead and have it installed. We went with the Angel Trail. I will admit that the color is a bit lighter than we thought but we are getting more used to it. Also, the grout lines/tile lines are not very pronounced. My flooring company let me know this in advance and I could tell on the sample board as well. So we can see the lines but they aren't as noticeable like other vinyl tile flooring (we have another brand in our bathrooms). We just had it installed last week so we will see how well it does. According to the flooring company we used, Provenza is a well known brand that's been around a long time but these stone looking tiles are fairly new.
