The weather map of North America is entirely orange.
Our Chicago area has had the second hottest May on record. Our sycamore is dropping its new growth leaves. Our skies are not blue, but hazy from the terrible wildfires in Canada. (A blessing in disguise as it keeps the temperature down a little.) Temps near Lake Michigan are slightly lower than inland, but we'll all roast this summer.
In addition to failed crops in the Midwest pushing up prices, I suspect we'll see the same with produce.
How's your summer starting out?
