Floof: Cringer gifts
Comments (23)I have hated the idea of gifts and exchanging gifts for sooo long I can't remember one that wasn't "cringe"/useless or unnecessary. At the moment I have a $50 gift certificate from my boss in my purse. I have been in the store monthly since Christmas. It is a "gift" shop. Their stock changes with the seasons. I have found NOTHING I would pay the price they want for let alone much of anything I would really care to have in my home. A co-worked ASSURED him I would LOVE the opportunity to shop/buy there. sigh. Somehow she missed the truth that I hadn't been in that store in our small town for over 10 years!!!...See MoreFloof! It's not convenient for me and I'd never delay others to do so. If I have a loaded shopping cart and someone comes into the line behind me with a few things, I allow them to go ahead of me. Just as I like when people do that for me. You'll never meet anyone who tries to be more considerate to and respectful of others in public than I. Sadly, there are too many who forget the Golden Rule when out in public. A simple example of this, remember that thought when looking for a parking spot and you encounter unusable spots because of cars parked crooked or large trucks parked in spots intended for compact cars or even intended for regular size cars that the truck doesn't fit in....See MoreFloof! Comments (19)I was Frosty once as a wee kid in the school play. Pretty sure that don't count, I rarely feel like a Frosty. Sometimes I feel like a General Waverly. Sometimes I'm a Mr. Green, on occasion a Mrs. Talbot. I've had McClane moments at my In-laws :) And sometimes when the snow is right, I'm a Kim....See MoreFloof! Those feel good moments.....
Comments (22)Busy day at work. Seriously, because the time goes fast, but that means a lot of things happened that needed to happen. Doing things I don't know that I've ever done before. I never knew I could snorkel. Never knew I could rollerskate after having quit for a couple of decades. I didn't know I could do plumbing or drywall until I tried it. Even more satisfying, is when I'm good at whatever it is I'm trying to do! Not everybody's good at drywall. I love to re-read things I've written years ago, and by re-read, I mean in my hold- it - in - my - hands journal. It's amazing how far I've come, and the things I thought about, are still relevant. Though, more fleshed out. Nice to figure them out....See More- 2 years ago
