This is a link to a website (hope it comes through) for the request for rustic tiles. I found Ken Mason Tiles in a magazine. They are beautiful hand-made, hand painted tiles from California. Using them for my entire backsplash turned out to be "beyond my budget", but they do have a slection of "Overruns" on the web site for 1/2 price. I was able to pick out individual 3 x 3 tiles from the overruns to use as accents in my 4 x 4" tumbled travertine marble backsplash. They make me happy ever time I look at them. How long a wait will you have for the SS backsplash? I do think it will be easier to clean than pale glass tile with pale grout. I have cream ceramic tile and pale grout behind the range, and yes, I've had to take a toothbrush with Oxyclean to the grout. What a PITA, and not sure you can do that with glass tile. Why not wait for the SS panel? The appliances and the rest of your kitchen all can be installed without the backsplash.

Hi Ironcook, Yeah, those backsplashes will be too much with my granite. Here is the tile I might be going with..kind of boring but the tile gal said to hold off until my granite is installed. which is tomorrow YIKES! my granite the tile gal thought a little accent tile border behind our range would look nice. i'm thinking it will be too busy though, dh isn't really keen on it. stumbled on this backsplash which I LOVE..i know, too busy huh

Not sure what part of Texas you're in, but we just had a Floor & Decor Outlet open near Ft. Worth. You can look online, but it's more fun to look in person in you have one.
