Pictures of Coretec Sand Dollar Oak in a room

Hi, does anyone have a picture of this in their home? I'm worried it will look too orange but can only find ONE picture of it in a room online. We held the sample up to some of our furniture and it looked ok. Kind of scared to purchase on that alone.

I bought mine from Flooring America. They are independently owned, so they may not all offer the same return/exchange policy, but it is worth a try.

They also ran a sale at the time I was purchasing my flooring. It was something like $500 off if you purchased 500 sf of flooring. The thing is, I was ordering enough to cover a 2000 sf house, but it capped at $500.00.

So I purchased 1/3rd of what I needed - got the $500.00 off and each of my sisters purchased 1/3rd of what I needed and got $500.00 off. Then we had them deliver all of it to my house.

Saved myself $1k by doing this.

We have Coretec Hayes Oak in our Florida home. We were lucky in that we saw this floor in an actual home.

That said, these floors are hard to photograph.

Yours seems to have more contrasting in shading. You can get info about how many different embossed planks come in this choice. It gives a rustic vibe to me. I don't really see orange.

You can maybe buy one box.

Personally, I like a more uniform look.

There are so many choices. But, some have long lead times.

Calypso and Noble Oak are popular with quite a few members here.

We installed Cyril Oak through out our house a little over a year ago. Im having a terrible time keeping it clean. Dirt gets in the grain pattern which makes it look way darker than when it was new. The only way I’ve have found to clean it is scrubbing with a bleach product. I ordered some of the floor cleaner that Cortec recommended and that cleaned the floor but not the grain pattern. I’ve talked to my housekeeper about changing her pads more oven. I think they were just pushing around dirt. Im so frustrated and disappointed in these floors. They looked beautiful while they were new and after spending 4 hours on my hands and knees scrubbing them. Has anyone else had this issue? And if so what solution have you come up with? I called the Flooring retailer who also did the installation and they recommended trying the diluted bleach cleaner. UGH!

I am late to the party, but here is Hayes Oak. I think it looks a little warmer in the pics than it is, but it is a very neutral color that to me is the color of sand in some lighting and a light grey with a lot of natural light. (I was trying to photograph the rose gold guitar in my hallway with the better lighting to show the BF...I don't keep a guitar out in a hallway like that!). And excuse the pets. I photograph them more than anything else!

I definitely has some orangey undertones. There are many to choose from. It depends on what you like and the other elements in your home.

When I had finished looking at flooring samples and was down to two main contenders I purchased one box of each.

I laid out the pieces in my living room against my fireplace and then set one of the pieces of my sectional sofa next to the one side and set my coffee table on top.

Where I purchased my flooring the sales rep told me I could not "return" the one I didn't want, but they would allow me to exchange one of the two boxes for the other color.

Even if I couldn't exchange or return I would rather spend the money on a single box and find out if it is right or wrong than spend the money on enough to cover my whole home or a whole room and then find out it isn't working well.

I will share, but it won't be at all helpful. I selected a tile look flooring with pink undertones because my colors are pinks, purples, reds and teal. Beyond that, the color has been discontinued. These were the two I was looking at. Decided to go with the lighter color throughout most of the home, but I did use the darker color for the guest bedroom and bathroom.

Yes I broke the rule for one flooring throughout the house. I tend to break a lot of rules.

I always suggest you purchase a box and lay it out in your home , your lighting and your stuff. Seeing the floor in someone elses home will never really help unless they have your exact home.
