I'm so addicted, I just ordered 2 more Clematis
Comments (3)I got 17 from Koi a few weeks ago. All came in good shape, with most having roots coming out the bottom of the small pots. Had to cut away the pots to get the plants out to plant in gallon pots for the Winter. A few of the type 2s wilted down within a few days, but look like they will reemerge with new shoots, at least I hope so. And suposedly they guarantee 2 years (if they are still in business). Be sure to check out all their clem listings, because some are down to 5.39 or so. And combined shipping is really good at 50 cents per additional plant. Back in April I was anxious to get a new clem season going so I ordered some from a different vendor. Between being very small to start with and the super wet & snowy Spring, they wilted in a few days & never came back. Checked later & roots all rotten. Enjoy your new clems. Comments (19)Let's see, in my entire house, the DR set, MBR set, sofas and one coffee table, all the area rugs were bought new, as were WTs. *Everything* else (Hitchcock table and chairs in breakfast nook, end tables in FR, rush bench in mudroom) were bought in used furniture stores, CL (LR end tables and coffee table plus the table the TV is sitting on now, old carved oak chair, MBR wing chair and ottoman, DS's bunk beds, desk, chair and bookcase, FR bookcase, and 2 spare chairs for DR), GW (artwork in DR and FR, MBR lamps, white wood porch rocker, wicker settee, wing chair in LR, Rubbermaid storage cabinet in basement and lots of dishes, glasses, small appliances, etc.) or at auction (DD's BR set, DS's dresser, side table and blanket chest in MBR, and secretary now in LR). I'm not counting ebay (crystal and all the master bath faucets, sinks, and towel bars), Big Lot type stores (area rugs, MBR valances, LR and Ds's romans, throw pillows, FR lamps, towels, sheets) or clearance sales at JCP, HD and Lowes (bathroom tile, bathroom mirrors, PR faucet, bathroom light fixtures, LR and DR drapes and rods, MBR and DR romans). Haven't found much at garage sales except the Pfaltzgraff set (with serving pieces) I bought 20 years ago (and have added to with help from other garage sales and GW). A lot of the kids' clothes have come from thrift/consignment stores....See MoreI'm addicted...
Comments (2)OK! I'm hooked! They are awesome! I just watched the care in which the owl moved over her babies and then moved feather closer to keep them warm. Thank you for the link! Several years ago we found a Screech Owl dazed after being hit by a car. DH used leather gloves to pick it up and we took it home and put it in a large bird cage that was vacant. After about 3 day and in the middle of the night, we found out why it is called a Screech Owl.....It was awful! DH put on the gloves again and captured a very healthy bird and released him. He said that even through the gloves, the birds hold on his finger was painful. They are so beautiful. Belle...See MoreMore new Hoya's! I'm officially addicted!
Comments (13)When Joni was down here in FL, I met her almost 5 years ago. Got the whole tour , saw the operation and picked up my fist 2 new Hoyas other than the carnosa I had. She is a wonderful person and a treasure to meet as I believe some of the active board members here have also found to be true. marco...See More
