For those who see ”him,” do you see any purpose for the red ”stick?”

I've seen this before but couldn't remember what it was supposed to be until someone mentioned paying attention to the negative space.

It took me an eternity, but finally, I see what it is now.

It took me forever too. Just focus on the negative space on the bottom half of the image. Also ignore the large dark oval on the right. I think it's out of proportion.

I posted earlier that I think it's on a wall and the 'stick' may be an electrical conduit and switch, thermostat, or similar. The color is just a phenomenon of the low resolution, I think - or it was manipulated.

Carol, thanks! I just went back and saw your comment. That could be what the stick is. At first I assumed it must be part of what I was supposed to identify.

I FINALLY got it! ! ! And now I can't 'unsee it. None of the hints helped at all, it just all of a sudden jumped out at me.

I thought the 'red stick' was an axe with a red handle.

This one was very difficult for my brain. I still can see the moth if I look to the dark side. But if I look at the picture as a whole I can see it. Yippee ki-yay.

I must be the dumbest person here. All I see in the white are little grey indistinguishable figures.

@lily316 and @blfenton, maybe try holding a piece of paper over the dark/shaded part and see if you see half of something. That helped a friend of mine see it.

Maybe the red stick is a pencil since this is a shaded pencil drawing. Heavily shaded!

OMG! I clicked onto the thread just to try it again and the picture was just there! Just as if someone posted a real photo of it! Just there.

Same here. I finally saw it after squinting for 5 minutes, leaving and then coming back.Whew!

It's so weird. I looked at it many times and saw nothing and bingo, I did. The human brain is so baffling.

I finially put my finger over the body of the moth and looked at the white part by the stick. Then I could see it. Now I can’t see the moth!

Maybe it won't be cheating to say there's an eye squinting in the picture.

Also you can look it up online and there is a reveal on one of the websites. This has stumped many people. It is very strange how some people immediately see and others don't.

How would I look it up?

Try this, focus on the lower 'moth' parts, what looks like 'moth legs' or some parts.

That is the upper lip below the nose that becomes a man's face with a cowboy hat above. The right hand side 'moth wing' is the right hand side curve of the cowboy hat.
