One of the good plants that came with our centuries old farm house was a massive pink crepe myrtle.
Two + decades ago we had temps drop to -10F and it died back to about three feet abov e ground level. Since then it has more than recovered.
Last year it was approaching 15 feet tall and eight feet wide.
Then along came November and the very hard freeze with no time for plants to go semi dormant much less dormant.
My nandinas are hesitantly recovering. I can't get up where I'd like to test to see if the cambium of the cm is still alive.
How are your crepe myrtles this spring and , in general, where are they located?
