Thanks for the compliment on my seedling Judy. I don't know if everyone's monitor shows it's true color. I looked at it on my iphone and it didn't look nearly as nice on that screen as it really does. It's a really nice raspberry color. Not a perfect flower as far as daylily breeder standards, but I just love the color. I've got white daylilies, but I don't know if I can figure out which ones they are now that they're not in bloom. Most of my tags have gotten misplaced or faded beyond reading. I'll check today. If not I can make note when they bloom next year. I've got a bunch more daylilies if someone is looking for something in particular, but only maybe a third of them have intact tags. I'll be bringing some Kwanso for sure because I had a bed of it that I had to remove and I don't need to replant all of it. I know it's common, but I like it.

My husband & I have not caught them at the Lantana bushes yet. But they do love our Sages & Salvia's. I am growing a Trumpet Vine (not the Invasive Type) Training it into a Tree (Topiary) Form but it will be another 3-4 yr.s before it will be blooming. They really love our Love & Wishes Salvia & our Cherry Chief (Autumn Sage greggii)-it is a red color that gets their attention & it must have great nectar. It is taking the Texas heat & humidity well. I am going to add more as the Black-Chin's visit it every day 3 times a day. The Hot Lips Sage/Salvia was a Huge hit this Spring. I have just cut 1/3 of it back & fed it so it will be ready to re-bloom again when it starts cooling off. I have Turk's Cap growing but have not seen any go to it. Trumpet Creeper is growing but not blooming yet & our Mexican Sunflowers are always a hit with the Ruby's. Always looking for more plant's that they love! _ Thanks for the input! Appreciate it!

Just a sidenote- Cape Honeysuckle makes seeds which feed many types of birds all winter when other food is in short supply. I have a huge area outside my kitchen windows - totally taken over by cape honeysuckle and it provides shelter as well as the seeds for numerous birds. I have a farm with lots of room which I'm trying to turn into wildlife habitat. So far I have foxes, lots of cottontails, quail, sandhill cranes and many varieties of songbirds.
