softest grass underfoot? for coastal southern california

dca55
last year

Hi, we're putting a small lawn in our home a couple blocks from the ocean in La Jolla (San Diego). The weather is mild year round (50-80 degrees), and the lawn will get pretty decent sunlight. Kids but no pets.
Number one priority is softness for walking on barefoot, but we also of course want it to hold up well, be easy to maintain, look good most of the year, etc.
We were thinking maybe a hybrid bermudagrass or maybe something like Zeon Zoysia. The guy at West Coast Turf suggested Platinum TE seashore paspalum. We'd be very grateful to hear what the experts on here think, thank you!
