Yesterday I was trying to find if there is something online with a list of what Fay carries in his pack. I know that they dropped several cache boxes along the way, but he must have mastered the needs to carry in a backpack. In the video, maybe half way into it, did you folks notice how thick that one redwood limb was, with the trunks growing up from it?

Oh, another reminder/advertisement: The article in Nat Geo mentioned a couple of the people whose exploits were recounted in the book, "The Wild Trees" by Richard Preston. This book has been recommended on this site before, but if any of you are intending to read it, it might be good to read it before watching this program. I would expect these people to be in the program also. Also, for you romantics out there, the book has a nice little love story also. --Spruce

That sounds like an interesting show. I like the Nat Geo channel. I also like the Smithsonian channel when I think of it. It is an HD channel and I don't always surf that high in the guide.

LOL, thanks, Nicole. Yes, she is an amazing artist. You should see her stuff now! She did a painting of an eagle that you would swear you could reach out and touch it live!! Her attention to details is wonderful. She did my painting from a photo that I emailed to her. And that was her first attempt at oil painting. Prior she had done almost exclusive drawing, sometimes using colored pencils. She is an engineer by trade. Moni, I love your picture. Can you imagine the talent it takes to do something like that?
