I bought most of my switches and dimmers from the link below. They seemed to have the best price and selection. But you'll find like I did that dimmers and switches and GFCI's add up. If you want custom colors theyget really pricey. I found that the Almond color is fairly interchangable between Lutron and Leviton. These can be bought in the big box stores so down the road if you need a replacement they would be readily available. Lutron did not have a dual switch in the Decroa style, I bought a Leviton (or maybe Cooper?) from a big box store and it matches perfectly. btw, the Meastro dimmers are excellent. Hi, Michellemarie - We just ordered several lighting fixtures from Arcadianlighting.com and didn't have a good experience. One of the items was not the one we ordered. I called the company yesterday and was told that the item we ordered is no longer available so they sent this one instead. Were they hoping we'd not notice? The one we received is not as nice and has fewer details than the one we paid for. To complicate things, the one we received is not offered on their website (though it matches the style we ordered) and we paid several hundred dollars even though the items were on "clearance" -- but now they're back to full price. Eh???? Arcadian Lighting offered only to send us a return label. I think I'd recommend that you don't use Arcadian Lighting.

I think about 20 years ago it was a popular idea that a growth part of a cycle happens mostly in the night and nutrient accumulation - in a day - and a friend of mine dutifully turned the timer in his plant room into intervals of 4 hours light 4 hours dark. It was supposed to increase the growth rate 3 times. After a couple months he said - it didn't make any difference - and quit doing it. Otherwise - we all - plants and animals are adjusted to a circadian rhythm - since we are the product of the evolution under the sun. People who work nights eventually develop sleep problems... probably the more complicated the organism - the more important it is - and green one cell algae very possibly is happy to have it 24/7. Humans who live above the polar circle- buy heavy draperies to close their windows to prevent sun waking them up too early. AVs - I cannot say anything definite - until somebody will run the experiment - 24 hours in one room and 12/12 in another - with the same care otherwise. I am sure somebody did - but not necessary on AVs. It can be plant dependent. The plants in Alaska thrive on long hours of the summer - sub-equatorial Africa - day and night intervals are even through the year. People use 13-15 hours per day to stimulate growth and bloom for the show, so it works to some extent.

I have integrated LED exterior lights from Hinkley. They work great. One did fail, and despite being outside of warranty they shipped a new LED module and driver no questions asked. It was annoying to replace but not especially difficult.
