Riverstone in Citrine Oasis (Hickory) floor by LW Flooring?
Comments (33)DCF-Z6A, I’m so glad to see after 4 years your still loving your LW floors. I’m highly considering Riverstone Jade Lake and like others it kinda makes me nervous that there’s so little info about them or people who have shared if they have them, maybe it’s a good sign?! :) Do your floors show footprints, smudges, or are they hard to keep clean? Is the Bona cleaner you use not a waxy based product? I know this floor recommends Bona but on some threads I’ve read a lot of people with LVP that use Bona ends up creating a waxy build up and then their floors never look clean. Have you had any specific issues with your LW Riverstone LVP?...See MoreCOREtec LVP ProXL, Warsaw pattern, pics, feedback?
Comments (3)It looks like you're not getting immediate responses, and while there are many posts in the Houzz forums on COREtec products, I'm not seeing reviews of the Warsaw pattern. Your best approach might be to see what you can of samples in a showroom and any photos provided by the manufacturer. Sometimes you have to take the plunge and go with something if you've narrowed down your choices and don't have any other option you like better. Another possibility would be asking your supplier if they have another customer with this installed product that you could visit in person. If you're seeing a bunch of negative reviews that sound legitimate, I think I'd keep shopping....See MoreLooking for feedback on loose lay LVP (especially Karndean).
Comments (5)Check the installation instructions for Karndean. Pretty much every floor on the market (worth writing the installation guide) require Subfloor grade plywood or better. The Karndean installation instructions will tell you what you want to know. I've heard that the loose lay (perimeter glue + loose lay) is VERY good. It is SUPER easy to replace planks later on down the road. It costs a bit more to install because the cuts/precision needs more 'thinking'....but once the perimeters are all figure out, it is a great product + install. The down side = thin, flexible planks that WILL telegraph 'bad' subfloors to the finished look of the floor. If there is a knot in the plywood (just an example) then the vinyl will mold itself INTO the knot and show the indents/ridges of the knot. This can happen at every seam in the subfloor. Which means you need plywood that can be sanded and patched with SLC (self leveling compounds). Remember: if you go cheap on the subfloor, your VERY GOOD Karndean will look very cheap....and you will hate it. As for wood costs, they are going up, up, up. The Canadian Mills that have shut down over the last 15 years (almost 75% of Canada's mills are inoperable) are now retooling to start up again. They will take 6 - 18 months to get them up to full production. And by that time, the lumber industry will have to catch up to the demand...which means another 18 months for bids on Crown land (Provincially owned lands must go through a bidding process....sigh....and then there will be summer break....and COVID...and the Senate has to chat about it...and...and...and). I don't see lumber prices stabilizing for another 3 years. Until then, it will continue to go up. Purchase now...the best product you can afford....See MoreParkay Floors LVP?
Comments (2)@ updates? I saw this recently and going back today to take samples home. Best I’ve seen for the look I’m trying to achieve! But can’t find any info on it!...See MoreLauren Hayes
