Comments (6)I have an aluminum clad storm door that can be switched out for a screen in the summer...honestly I've never done it, none of us feels like unscrewing that large plate of glass and fooling with it. So it's glass all year. OP, my neighbor has one of those screen doors from the link. They have it painted in their accent color (I guess it is the third color on their exterior, it's an apricot type of color on their house is sage green); it looks so charming. Comments (15)First, sliders aren’t very secure, so almost any French door is going to be more secure. Years ago we replaced sliders w/ Anlin French doors in the DR. They use a multi-point locking system that is way more secure than the sliders. Ours are outswing, too, b/c if they were in-swing they’d be too close to chairs on that side w/ someone sitting on the chair. We got operating sidelights so we could have air flow w/ doors closed. You have to purchase the door unit to get the triple locking mechanism which is quite secure❣️ Visit the Therma-Tru website for more information.
