A comment about Dave Brubeck's Take 5 above. It's also a jazz classic. Something that many don't recognize is that the song title is a give away about what's unique about it. Most western music is in 4/4 or 2/4 time, meaning, 2 or 4 beats to the measure. Waltz music is in 3/4 time, 3 beats to the measure.

Counting out a waltz, it's 1-2-3, 1-2-3. Most other music, 1-2 1-2 or 1-2-3-4 then repeat.

Take 5 is in 5/4 time. 5 beats to the measure.

1-2-3-4-5, 1-2-3-4-5, and so on.

The Mission Imposible Theme is also in 5/4.

I had all of Bobby Vee's albums as a teenager, but I bought them as oldies because I did not start buying records until 1964. I looked a lot like Bobby Vee when I was a teenager, and so it was easy for me to identify with him. I loved all his sweaters and got my own collection, but it was very seldom cool enough to wear them. My sister tried to steal some of them from me.
