You're selling right? It is different when you are selling than when you are decorating for yourselves. When selling, edit, edit, edit. Fewer items on the walls is better. No family photos. You want the potential buyers to mentally put themselves in your home with their stuff. If you have lots of family photos and wall decor, it makes it difficult for the buyers when they are walking through your home. If you aren't selling, let me know. You will be very surprised by the colour of unfinished white oak. When it is installed raw, it will have a very light wheat colour. Like sun bleached straw. It is super pale with hints of green (very pale). So long as you use water based EVERYTHING you can have a white oak in the 'raw' look. Do NOT use the word 'natural'. In the flooring world the word 'natural' means "no stain; oil based poly finish that turns orange". This is where the homeowner lingo clashes with the installer lingo. You can look at Bona Traffic HD as the SUPER TOUGH finish. It is 100% non-yellowing. You can then look at anyone of their sealants (white oak must have a sealant used when working with water based poly...don't worry the sealant acts like a thin layer of finish...and it is much cheaper than the 2-3 coats of the EXPENSIVE finish). Your professional installer/finisher can drop down colour samples (actually this SHOULD be part of the cost of install) of all the sealants (super easy to do) and finished with a single coat of the polyurethane. This will be your 'colour patch'. You will examine these colours through ALL lighting situations (all 5). You then pick the sample that gives you the best look throughout the day. Done...Like...Dinner.

This is a cultured stone fireplace. We wanted a fresh, new look. Decided to whitewash the stone, leaving the grout natural.

Rarely do we specify an actual color of white for exterior. Because the brightness and brilliace of an actual white is too much, too stark in sunlight. Instead colors like Pale Oak, Manchester Tan or Classic Gray etc. show up loking white but not overwhelming. The color of the stucco needs to be the jumping off point to figure out the right, lighter, more neutral color.
