Try Freedomrail Closet Systems at www.Organizedliving.com. They are less money than easy closets. The quality is great. They can design for you. Very easy to install. I also implemented an IKEA bureau in my coset to save $$. The drawers are pricey from Freedom Closet. Also check out The Container Store. They design and have a system called Elfa which is on sale right now.

I have not seen the Wilson Art HD in ready-made in the stores. I used a local cabinet maker for my Wilson Art counters; he came and made exact measurements and ordered from his supplier. He also covered a bar/peninsula type area in just the sheet laminate without having to re-fabricate (per his recommendation). I saved a significant amount of money by going local. Plus when he brought one of the sections from his shop, the molded backsplash was not fitting the wall well (curvy wall - not his fault). Rather than use a bunch of ugly caulk, he took it back to his shop and worked his magic with his tools to make a perfect fitting counter. Do you have any local cabinet makers that you can use? The good ones can be so helpful. That reminds me - my DD just ordered new vanities, cabinets, and mirrors for two small bathroom upgrades. She priced Kraftmaid at Lowes and the small local shop. She saved a ton of money by going with the small kitchen/bath shop.

I just finished an entire gut/reno in Garden City. I am a budget shopper with expensive taste. I would recommend my contractor but he has relocated upstate due to a family illness so our job was his last. I bought cabinets through him and his upstate contact but I will recommend the brand highly, Fieldstone, and costal cabinet works carries them. I did price out Ken Kelly and they are very expensive and a friend just used them and was very disappointed. For tile I went all over the island, I ended up buying at Cancos, the Tile Shop (great prices, and they have a sale every holiday), and I splurged on an Artistic Tile inset from Fancy Fixtures. If you want to be blown away by a showroom check out Fancy Fixtures, then if you want to come down to earth look at the Tile Shop. Also Old Country Tile is great they have a big showroom and are very helpful. For plumbing supplies and hardware you really can't beat online shopping. I got everything from Build.com, no tax, free shipping, great customer service. Knobs.com showroom is great to look at but I got baldwin hardware 40% off at build.com with a coupon code that I googled. For appliances I used PC Richards, you can haggle with them, Dennis in Carle Place is great. Stone yard we used was Yorkshire Stone in Happauge, ask for Ray. They were wonderful! Good luck! Finding a good contractor is 10 times more challenging than coming up with a plan (and 10 times more important, too...) You probably already thought of this but it might be worth seeing if anyone in your building has any recommendations, too. Someone who knows about your building's unique features is probably worth his weight in gold.
