Need help arranging (and decorating) small bedroom
Comments (7)I lived in an apt. for three years where the only wall space big enough for the bed in the small bedroom was in front of the window because the other wall was all closet. It worked out OK. The only problem was once a week I could hear a loud noise of my neighbor emptying his recycling into the bin the night before pickup. The bedroom was on the ground floor right next to our shared driveway. I had good light blocking shades....See MoreNeed decor suggestions for this small dining room
Comments (10)You need a good 45 inches from the edge of the table to have enough room for the chair and the diner and room to pull out the chair. Add some more if your think your guests would ever be heavy or pregnant. I am not sure you have the space for that on the wall under the mirror or the one opposite. I can't tell on the wall perpendicular. A clock is not at all a good thing to hang in a dining room. Do you want your diners to worry about the time or to feel rushed? The big black mirror is not that attractive and not appropriate for a dining area. Please look for artwork for the dining area. You could get a starburst mirror for one of the walls. Also, please consider getting cushions for the seats of the dining room chairs in a color or print that coordinates with your artwork. I have a suspicion that on a hot day, those seats will uncomfortably stick to the back of the legs of someone wearing a short dress or shorts. Whether or not you stain the dining room table really depends upon the decor in the adjoining room. Do you have a light source in that dining area? If not, consider getting a plug in chandelier....See MoreDecorating a small master bedroom
Comments (4)Have you moved in yet? If so, please show a pic with your furniture in place. If not, here are a couple of ideabooks about lighting plans. https://www.houzz.com/magazine/get-turned-on-to-a-lighting-plan-stsetivw-vs~30716408 https://www.houzz.com/magazine/houzz-planning-how-to-choose-your-bedroom-lighting-stsetivw-vs~440855...See MoreI need help with decor on a small Living area.
Comments (24)I would move the wing chairs facing each other directly, so that they make a U shape with the sofa. Cushions. Put the yellow cushion on one of the wing chairs. For the other wing chair, choose another bright color from the painting and buy a cover for the black cushion. To test this look, find a scarf/tee shirt/anything to wrap the black cushion in. Leave only the matching cushions on the love seat. Bring back the plant and put it near the window, raising it slightly and centering it in the space so that it fills the corner better. Center the tripod light in its space too. I don't see a good place for your end tables. Definitely not blocking the traffic path. Take all your family photos (from the end tables and from the top of the secretary desk), and make a gallery wall where a person can walk right up to them and see them easily. Hallways are great for this. If you prefer them in this room, put them on the short wall to the left of the kitchen where you now have one small piece of art....See MoreKimberlee Marie Interiors
