Help with window color for exterior renovation

last year
last modified: last year

We are replacing the windows and siding on our house. Siding will be Hardie lap board in Cobblestone. I’m having a hard time committing to a window color and would love some input! The details that are making the decision difficult are that we want a color that coordinates with the old stone part of the house AND the new light siding. I also had a vision of adding black shutters in the future, and can’t picture black shutters with beige or bronze windows. We currently have a brown roof (not being replaced for now, but as you can see it is not very visible from this elevation). We have brown fascia and gutters, which we are replacing.

We have considered:
White: pros - would look classic with black shutters. Cons - generic, would not coordinate with stone part of the house.

Beige: pros - would coordinate well with stone. Cons - difficult to coordinate with siding and trim color and the beiges we have seen are not quite “right”

Black: pros - breaks up the house with some contrast. Cons - too modern, might not coordinate with stone part of house.

Bronze: pros - still provides contrast with siding, more in line with the brown of the stone and roof. Cons - what color would we do for doors and shutters?
and bronze. FYI we are using the Marvin Elevate double hung windows.
