I like your vinyl and I like that you want your house to meet YOUR needs. I'd sell or donate your existing table. Buy a table with folding legs -- card tables are square and good for four, or there are rectangular folding leg tables that are better for six. Use a nice table cloth if you want to be fancy for company. Stash the tables under a bed or in a closet when not needed. Oh, you might also consider nice folding chairs (padded seats) that could also be stashed when not in use.

This is a table that my parents bought probably in the early 70s not a high-end table but it's at its smaller size right now and doesn't break down anymore. It's just in the way that's why I wanted to buy a modular table that I can bring out when needed but something that looks more southwestern.

My camera may not pick up colors accurately. I think the colors are actually turquoise, not green 👍

I see a MCM door. Beautiful and cozy colors in this picture angle. Is the carpet where your living room is? Can you move the dining table near the carpet so you have room around the records? I also like dropleaf tables I think Ikea has some for cheap perhaps in white.

If I move the dining room table to my rug, that's going to interfere with my audio system. My intention was to have the open space in front of the vinyl to make the room look bigger and also get better access to them.
My dog wouldn't move so she's in the photos. lol.

So far I am thinking something like this for you. It's simple, masculine/unisex, cheap, low profile, and easily can go on any wall. Bjursta from Ikea.

I don't want a table that's going to stay in one spot.I want to be able to break it down and move it off to the side and only use it if I have visitors over to eat. if I have room, maybe I'll store it just to the right of the patio door and under the art on the wall.
I think some tables have casters so they can simply be rolled to another location.
I really don't use the current table to eat. I use my kitchen counter.

If you could place that ikea table on the wall, then place two chairs opposite each other so it looks like a cozy dining area. A flower on the table with a southwestern tablecloth or you can maybe get away with the dark paint job on the table. It might be a little small for you however.

Ok apologies. What do you think of this foldaway rolling dining table? It's not exactly southwestern but can pass. It was the cheapest one , on Walmart for 150. If your budget is higher. We can find a better looking one. I think this one is simple thought and functional. Looks sturdy too. Try googling " foldaway dining table".

I can afford a better table, but it's a matter of functionality and use of space.
Whatever I use could probably be stored just underneath the art and to the right of the patio door but maybe just keep it there set up if it doesn't take up space.

I like the drop leaf table ideas and think one like this would fit your aesthetic well. You could fold the sides and use it as a side table under your window when not in use.

Lol I just assembled that vinyl shelf for that spot. Albums are already in there and too heavy to move. I thought about putting it vertically against the turquoise wall, but I didn't want to anchor it with screws.
I ordered some LED light strips to go on there so I can see the vinyl titles at night

I like the Home Depot type format where you can break it down to quite a small size and just rolling over to a corner. Some of the other tables have fixed legs so it looks like you can't really make them compact.

You haven’t said how many the table needs to seat. Wondering about chairs - do you have more than we see with your current table & where are those stashed? How often do you actually need a table?

Maybe three people at the most. The chairs are in front of my speakers so my dog doesn't like them over!
I doubt that I would need to use the table more than once or twice a year.
I'm pretty much housebound now due to my leukemia.I'm going to start treatment this month so I don't have a lot of visitors here other than maybe my sons but that's not very often so don't need a big table.

Ok, that info really defines what you might want to be looking for size wise. And, you’ve identified a possible space to store the table when not in use. It looks like you do use your current table for desk type work - looks like a calendar book sitting at a space. Maybe the way to approach your project is to measure the wall space so you know max width of table that would fit there. Start your online search looking for that width of fold down tables with casters / wheels for easy moving. Think about if you would use a table that could provide a work space for things like the calendar & maybe one chair could sit at an extended piece or leaf of table. Also, you said 3 at most so plan for table to seat 4! If your kitchen counter has an eat at bar, you’ve always got extra seating there. Wanted to say that your copper wall hanging over the audio system unit is beautiful.

I don't stress out about it. I am pretty positive minded and pretty tough discipline so I should be OK going on the eighth or since diagnosis or no treatment so I guess I must be blessed.?!😊😊💪🙏

I'll do some research through the week on tables I don't like to buy impulsively I like to look at all my options and take measurements. Decide twice and buy once. lol

Thank you KW. Bought the copper art a few years ago at the Oro Valley marketplace. About every six months, the local artisans set up booths in the parking lot of the shopping center and sell their goods.
Lots of great artists with what sculptures, jewelry, pottery, garden, art, etc.
It doesn't really pop on that wall like I thought but It still looks nice. I might have to put something light colored as a border to kind of make it pop better.
I'm already taking measurements for the area that I plan to store the tablesaw that's a consideration

Bob, I think the copper piece looks perfect where it is & it does pop! It’s a nice coordinated piece with your rug. A piece like it would also look great in the niche over your fireplace but it looks like this piece is too large for that spot even if hung vertically.

That's exactly where I wanted to put it initially,above the fireplace but it's too big for that spot Another choice was to put it on the light colored wall because the light color against the copper would really make it pop, but as it stands now it ties in with my audio stand and the rug.👍. But the the area above the fireplace is another project, so I'll post separately.
