Took these pictures at DS'S place for sister Christmas. That's what we call it because we four sisters have an early Christmas before we have Christmas with children in-laws etc. She hasn't got a tree in the house and so her DH made this wooden tree a number of years ago for her. He also made her reindeer and she made her Santa Claus and elves.

This morning's sunrise is obscured.. I've never had frost on a window. Just don't have the right conditions. Until yesterday.

You're very correct jas! I wasn't exaggerating, I've never had frost on my windows. I assume the only reason it worked was because of the blowing wind and the quick drop in temps. In the past, I have certainly had enough precipitation and there is an overhang above that window.

Rob, I’m feeling very sorry for anyone experiencing these cold temperatures in places where they simply aren’t prepared for them. It can be very dangerous.

We get cold, cold weather every year but most of our homes are built for it. This is my north facing window today and it’s -29 C today which is a warmup from -42 for the past few days. Our windows have never had frost on them. LOL, but as Stacey says ”It’s a dry cold.”

Stay safe and I hope the warm up comes soon for you.
