Orange accent wall for living room. Help!

Hello everyone, I recently moved in and had a light orange accent wall done and there is gray hardwood floors. I recently ordered an beige couch. Just wondering what other colors to add into the space for my other furniture (tv stand , coffee table, end tables, decor etc). I was thinking light brown wood and white but i’m not sure. Any comment is greatly appreciated!

It's the new black. So ........whites, light woods, black, glass, metals.

What's the second pic in your post? Your couch? Your rug?

Soory but IMO accent walls are chosen after all other itmes are in place so now the orange drives the bus totally IMO backwards . Maybe at least explain why the orange .

I think a rich cream color would look very nice with the rest of the room. I am thinking something very much as the pillows in the left of your photo appear. Then if you're not totally wed to the mirror above the fireplace you can bring in artwork and some candles to pick up the cream of the chair. I assume the recliner you mentioned is in the upper right hand side (where for some reason another commenter moved a television into place.). A pillow or small throw placed on the chair can correlate to the rich cognac color of your sofa and love seat. Good luck.

No accent walls, please. They are for people who can't pick art, and/or who don't know how to choose colors which which to accessorize pillows, rugs, objets d'art, etc. The sofa, chair and bench in your photo are fine, but the throw pillow covers are a serious snooze. And please re-think gray as an accent color, it is neither cheerful nor hospitable. If you like ecru. you can have pillow covers in that color with a lot of texture, something along the lines of a cable knit, like an aran sweater. Williams-Sonoma has marvelous throw pillows to give you some inspiration. Look how great those plants look in the photo, green would make a great accent color, and you can add touches of black to ground the room and add sophistication and drama. You can have a black tray on a table, some black and green in art.

Try a warm, neutral wall paint for the entire space, decluttering along the way, which also breaks up the flow, and see how it looks. You can always do an accent wall later on. Kudos to that furniture store to have the guts to have some color on the showroom floor!

I went to a large mid/high end furniture store a few weeks ago and everything was white, beige or gray.

I'm cracking up. Because the wall is the color of the living room in my first apartment..........and no I will not tell you how many decades ago that was.: )

Suggest a mix of lighter furniture styles for a modern look, a neutral rug and minimal orange additions, as wall is prominent and room can get overdone quickly.

I am not saying I don't like the orange I have an orange wall in my kitchen but it came from a piece of art not just slapped on the wall with no context .
