Floor plan ideas?

Plan to build a new house soon
Really like this exterior but can't seem to get the floor plans for it. Any ideas what they might be? Looking for some insight, much appreciated tx

I do not see the plan so try posting it in a comment here . Do not start another post. IMO get an architect to design your home for how you live and where the site is . Stock plans are not ever perfect and every change you make costs money and very quicklty it can add up to more than if you had just gone with an architect . Do you already have the lot? We need more info please .

I agree with Green that the garage will dominate the facade. Re: the kitchen size issue: The corner pantry and angled island make it feel cramped. You could try this: rotate the front hall closet and move the pantry to the space that was kind of unused to the right of the guest bath; change the door to swing in. Straigten the island. Move the refrigerator to the end of the range run; this means that diners can grab a beverage refill without walking past the work zone. If you are rather formal diners and don't like the looks of a fridge so close, consider getting a panelled fridge. (See mockup.) Also, post your plans on the kitchens forum - there are loads of talented layout folks there.

This is in England would be my guess and they do require closets to make a bedroom which IMO has always been a silly rule. What I see is a lot of walls and doors that make a lot of separation between rooms which is quite typical of older homes in Britain. How much openness do you want ? What is your budget/ The shower room on the mainfloor makes no sense to me and the wall between the kitchen and diner would be nice to have removed infact that whole main floor needs to really be reworked to function properly. The fact you need to go through the study to get to the sitting room is just odd.The 2nd floor again needs to be reworked to give you a master bath IMO . I think the first step for you is to meet with an architect to find out what is doable with the budget you have . It looks very expensive to do what I would consider .

I am so sorry for you and your family experiencing such a traumatic event. I see in your Ideabooks, exterior elevations that seem to lean to a two story farmhouse kind of style. Of course, you need a licensed architect to bring your new hopes to fruition. However, you can do some good homework first. Start a collection of pictures from Houzz, magazines, home tours and get a large 3-ring binder and save as many hard copy pictures as you can to help “communicate” these looks to an architect. This is very helpful. Your architect will need a survey of your property and a trip to your site to help determine “siting” and then h/she can begin designing rooms and overall layouts for your new home. There are a thousands of decisions you will be making over the span of many months so having as much definition as possible will help ease that crunch. Start also interviewing architects and vetting their references. You want some competent but also someone compatible with your personalities. You will be spending a lot of time with him/her so make sure it feels right. I have developed a document I call “New Homebuilders Checklist” that I would be happy to share with you. I think the budget will drive the choices and what is it you hope to gain by all of the work BTW ducting can be moved sometimes even easily but I think you need a plan . We can help but we need a lot of info. I like ktchens open to DRs or FRs but how do you then design the kitchen . I think you need to figure out what you can afford then get an interior designer and an engineer to tell you what walls are load bearing a much bigger deal that ducting. This is also a new to you space so maor changes are IMO a wait and see how the space functions first . BTW do not ask a ton of people what you need to do you need pro advice .

Since you like the exterior of whatever house you are trying to show, why not take that and your needs and wants to a talented architect, show him the exterior and ask him/her to design you a house that is similar and meets your needs?

The house was built in Ukraine....who knows if it is still standing Are ;you attracted to the exterior finishes because it's hard to know the location of rooms. Looks as though the great room might be on the second floor and the bedrooms in the attached wing of the home.

Unless you are a hermit crab, you should build a house that meets your needs and fits your site. Starting with a house shell and trying to fit into it what you need is a poor way to shelter your life. Show the picture to the local architect you select and let them know what you like about the building.

Home design is from the inside out, not the outside in (i.e., exterior elevations flow from a floor plan, not the other way around). A talented architect will take your inspiration pics (along with the site conditions, your wants and needs, and your budget), and provide a design which meets your goals.

Thank you all so much for that insight, there is just so much to consider. Our first home was...here is the layout that we want, now put roof on it lol. Now we have an empty nest and need to consider aging in place with a view :)
