Because the second one sort of shows the mesh background in between, I took the liberty of choosing a color from within the tile itself and using it as a grout color, I can do a darker/lighter grout if you like. After seeing it in the mockup, I like it better than the picture of just the tile sample. But I still think I like the top one better. Here they are in order of the samples above... That was fun, got any more?!;) Hmm, after looking at it again, maybe I should tone them down a bit because the lighting in your kitchen is dimmer than the lighting on the samples. I'll work on that a little later...gotta go feed the kiddos now! Robin

I just spent almost $8,000 on 2 Bedrosians Magnifica Calacatta Oro counters for my master bath and so far- nightmare!!! The slab is supposed to have a soft white background with gold (Oro) veining. What showed up was blue grey color that’s not even close to the soft white of the sample of the slab they showed me in the warehouse. It’s a completely different color- not even close to the same color family ( blue-grey vs. cream!). Of course we didn’t know it was wrong until fabricated and installed. Waiting to hear back from Bedrosians if they’ll take responsibility and fix. I’ll keep you updated but BEWARE... I picked expensive porcelain because it’s supposed to be very consistent in color and no surprises. Now my beautiful beige/ cream master bath has an ugly ( expensive) grey countertop in the middle of it 😭

Check out Francois & Co in Atlanta. I was able to get gorgeous ”Dubuisson Tumbled” 16x24 stone flooring for an extremely reasonable price! Pavehdm.com also has wonderful flooring, etc., but they are definitely more expensive. We paid about four times as much for a similar flooring for our VA home to what we purchased at Francois & Co. for our home in the South.

So if you are, for now, keeping the vanity that is in there, you will have to make a decision about the floor under the vanity. If you run your tile up to the vanity and stop, then be sure that you buy enough extra tile, so that in the future, you can run the tile under the vanity. For example, in the future you might choose a wall-hung/floating vanity, or you might choose to have a vanity with "feet" and the floor would be visible underneath. Similarly, what if, in the future, you change the footprint of the shower or other elements in the room. If you do a little thinking and planning about that now, you can avoid some headaches in the future. Buy enough tile so that you are not too restricted in your future plans. OR... leave the bathroom completely out of your flooring project, leave the current flooring, and do the floor when you do the whole bathroom. That would eliminate the possibility that, in the future, you might not like that floor anymore and want a different color scheme. Either approach can work, you just need to think about the project as a whole even if it's done in phases. I did a bathroom in 2 phases over the last few years. Phase one was reface vanity, replace mirror, toilet, lighting and paint everything. Phase 2 was new flooring, new tub/shower combo, and we painted everything again because daughter wanted a new color and it wasn't a big space, so it was fine. I knew I'd have to do it in 2 phases, so I planned the whole thing first so that phase 1 didn't do anything to mess up phase 2. It can be done; just plan it out best you can.
