Comments (11)I have my trade list going--I'm going to be bringing a lot of the same stuff to try to give away. I know many of y'all say "anything unusual" on your want list, but I don't have too many of those yet. Just tryin' to keep stuff alive like everybody else. By the way, I like the "Advisory" that shows up on the ordering form page of the Plant Delights catalog I'm looking through: "ADVISORY: If you have already run your credit cards up to the limit, we suggest that you get a higher credit limit before reading through this catalog." That guy seems to have a real sense of humor. Todd...See Moresue, mtn, others re: Galapagos tips
Comments (17)Hi, What fun for her! Is it EFTours by chance? My son is taking a trip with them in June. I would be surprised if the tour does not include group meals? They usually do. I have no insight about cash needs. We went 7 or 8 years ago, and arranged a lot of the tours and such thru our hotel, the Royal Palms in Santa Cruz. I am sure the tour operator has done this many times so can give good advice. Generally, the exchange rate for cash USD will be far more favorable to the published rate, so cash is the way to go, but it has its attendant risks of course. We did not take any vaccines. You may want to consider getting the following from your Dr., just in case: Cipro, for intestinal distress, SCOP patches, for seasickness, and Diamox, for altitude sickness. I just used the Scop patches on a trip and they were so helpful. Made me a tad drowsy but totally solved motion sickness for me. We took Diamox in advance of our arrival in high altitude, and had mixed results. My one daughter seemed to get ill from it (though I can't be sure), so we all stopped taking it and were fine. But I know another family who could not have gotten thru their vacation without it. It felt odd to travel with 15 prescriptions (3 types for all 5 of us), but you don't want to have a problem on vacation in a lesser developed country ... I am sure she will have a blasT!...See MoreBad news for Mtn’s kids and other charcuterie fans!
Comments (13)I heard the funniest conversation the other day at TJ Maxx in front of all the wooden cutting boards Two middle aged women were looking at the boards and one said, "I think you serve meat and cheese on these, it's a new style. What? the other asked. You put it right on the board?" As a charcuterie board lover, during this current fad, I was tickled!...See MoreWhere to find Botanical Button Down Blouses
Comments (34)Sue.. i had the site up late last night and all was good. Today I can't find it-- but it was definitely one of those off offshore stores. The shirt was only 15.99. I'll let you know if i find it later when i have more time. Maddielee .. i do remember mom talking about Villager.. and a few other brands I am not remembering now. One in particular that was pant suits. Levin, maybe? Anyhow.. by 1964. she had ME and then 3 other children in succession. I don't believe she was buying much that wasn't maternity! LOL I didn't find anything on anthropologie or macys-- but i searched them last week. I can do another search but while I saw many florals, non that had that actual "botanical" look.. as in a botanical print for the walls. Carol, I haven't seen any Calvin Klein button downs.. am I missing something? TexanJana - I did find a Foxcroft shirt last night that I think will work.. thanks. Not sure if she will like the fabric but I think it is good to have some wrinkle-free offerings. I will check out their store and the Mark James store too later this evening. And thank you too, Tartan-- the link works and the price is better! Indeed, thank you ALL.. i appreciate your time and suggestions. To answer a few more questions, she is 79, white hair (not gray-- white), and very small.. xs or petite small... though I would probably buy a button down a little larger because she wears many layers.. .in fact, that is why i want a button down. She'll wear a long sleeve tee underneath and a sweater on top.. sometimes 2 sweaters on top! Sorry to be quick in run-- the day is blowing up but i wanted to take 3 min to thank you all and respond!...See Morejojoco
