I need help with color & coordinating SW Pavilion Beige
Comments (4)This is a difficult question because it all depends on personal taste. I would recommend finding inspiration photos from Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, etc. Check out www.houzz.com for inspiration as well. I personally would choose chocolate brown, black, and taupe with an accent color. I love slate blue for an accent color with brown/black/taupe (like a silvery blue-gray). This is what I've done in my current house and I love the way it looks. A friend used the same granite as you with similar floors. Her furniture was brown and black. Her area rugs were black/taupe/cream. Family photos had black frames on the walls. Then her accent color was red (red pillows, art with red in it, etc). It looked very pretty. HTH, Good luck!...See MoreColor experts: Need help with colors
Comments (14)I'm not familiar with how grasscloth would hold up in a non-climate-controlled room. Others may have better recommendations. With your counters/cabinets and with what you describe (liking reclaimed wood but not primary colors) then maybe steer toward metal, wood, grays and blacks. The chairs you have could be painted black. Perhaps find an industrial table with a metal top or wood that you can age yourself. I recommend a chair height dining room table rather than a bar table, as it can serve more comfortably for both office work and parties. If you are inclined there are many ways to "age" new wood. There's a steel wool and vinegar method you can find on the Internet that my brother-in-law uses. Real aged barn wood is expensive and in high demand. He travels to rural locations for it but has to sometimes mix in new wood with his projects and the steel wool method works well in blending new fillers with the authentically aged wood. Others will chime in with great ideas and inspiration photos for you too I'm sure....See MoreNeed help with colors
Comments (2)I did similar colors as your idea board…light neutral sofa and we did a saddle leather ottoman to add warmth…we have a black media cabinet too!...See Moreneed help with colors for exterior shutters and front door
Comments (4)I would do black shutters and door. To me it would make your white trim pop and let the stone be the star. Good luck with your project!...See MoreRebecca
