LG Viatera - quality?

We’ve narrowed our countertop selection down to Viatera quartz, specifically Etude or Lumina. I saw some very negative reviews about quality and durability of Viatera in general from about 6-8 years ago but haven’t seen anything more recent. Wondering if they’ve improved the product. For those that have them in their kitchen - how are they holding up? Chipping, staining, dull finish, etc? Thank you!

I am currently considering Viatera Etude and would love insight, as well, from homeowners that have used it.

I have LG Etude and absolutely love it. It’s low maintenance and still looks as fabulous as it did when first installed.

Love my LG Vitara Rococo. It's very easy to live with, cleans easy, never a stain, it's neither too shiny or matte. Movement is not too much but I don't have a huge kitchen. My cabinets are a blue grey and my backsplash is tongue and Grove wood painted the same color as the cabinets, with French iron hardware. My home has Satillo tile laid on the diagonal throughout. It's sort of a English/ French farmhouse that's not crisp and new looking. It's lived in, homey, full of antiques that I love and tons of books. It's set back off the street on 6 acres with a gravel drive. The Rococo works with anything! I used a simple straight eased edge. I would not worry about the movement. It just blends.

Hi dmac, cabinet paint is Sherwin Williams matched to Benjamin more’s white dove OC-17, pendant lights were from bellacor, barstools are from restoration hardware (they weren’t expensive though), subway tile is daltile rittenhouse in arctic white.

Oh, Thank you Barbara! I wasnt sure if that was Aura on the counters or not... I have the added challenge of having a collection of mid-century dinnerware called Stangl that has a creamy white base and then very colorful flowers, edging etc, displayed on my walls, but when I hold the sample cabinet door in Simply White up to it the door makes the pottery look yellow. WIth SImply white on the trim --already--it doesnt have that yellowing effect on the pottery. And the SW does not look at all yellow in my kitchen- just a soft white. Way more challenging to balance out all the elements than I thought!! Thank You for you input!

We have Viatera in our kids bath and are leaning towards using it again in our kitchen. While I don’t have any food spills in there I have found pink water from paint sitting pooled on the counter and dye from things like bath bombs, all of which have easily cleaned up. I’ve also used vinegar a few times to get some hard water rings from around the faucets with no problems- it’s much easier to maintain than our old granite in our primary bathroom was. I know I’m late to respond- update us if you chose Viatera and how it’s going!

Review. I have 1 1/4 thick LG Clarino think install 2019. Its polished no stain, no scratches looks news. It did get 1 small chip that I filled with crazy glue. But its not a normal kitchen occurrence I had a power drill in one hand climbed step to get something out of top cabinet and dropped the drill 4 ft drop and the bit hit the counter and chipped it. It will stand up to normal kitchen no problem We are working farm so the kitchen sink stainless dual bowl undermount always has pots/pan stuff stacked all the time it gets a beating. THere are no chips around the sink either. I think if it can stand up to my kitchen its good stuff lol

I've never seen a bad review of LG Viatera! We've been selling it since quartz hit the market many years ago. No problems. I have Silestone Lagoon in my own home. They were done around 11 years ago....they are near perfect still too. I have some dull areas around my faucet....very hard water where I live.
