Arched window treatments

Maureen
last year

I have two arched windows that I need to cover somehow. The windows face east, so they get only morning sun, and are on the 2nd story, so privacy isn't an issue. 90% of the time, the room is my sewing craft room (can't see that mess in the photo), and I love the light these windows provide. A few times a year I have guests sleeping there, so I'd like to find a way to reduce the light on occasion. The seamless transition from regular window to the arch is kind of stumping me!

The window on the right is approx. 23x43" and the left window is smaller but beyond my reach to open/close a window treatment. For reference, the west facing windows have 2" blinds and a sliding door has curtains. I want to keep the arched shape of the window visible. I don't care for the look of cellular/fabric fans in the arch. A wood/composite arch would be OK, but is pricy.

Options we've considered:

Install blinds leaving the arch portion open.

Add a decorative window film to the arched portion with blinds on the bottom.

Roman shades either covering the arch or leaving the arched portion open. These I could make myself.

Supplying eye shades to guests - at least they won't stay too long! :)

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
