Furniture Design Dilemma

Which writing desk?

last year

Which writing desk would you prefer in a study/home office that is open to the foyer. There is nothing else in there right now but would like to add some type of bookshelves or filing cabinet. Rug is nuetral and walls are seasalt. Foyer is Repose Gray. The gray desk is from RH and the oak color desk is from Ballard Designs. I could also get a glass top with the one from Ballard designs.

Choose pics that can enlarged and I need to see the other space sin your home since this is on display at the entry so post pics of the space and maybe your LR too

A couple of buffet lamps would be very nice (and good for working without shadows) -- perhaps a old globe? An old silver mug for pen or pencils? IF possible -- try to corral the necessary wires etc. to create a nicer view underneath. Perhaps stack a couple of lidded baskets under it to hold desk items?

Hi Emily, didn't expect any activity 2yrs later! I did end up buying Maison Dumond Cambronne. Any table would work for me. I would definitely not buy a table with a glass surface, because then the surface would be covered in my fingerprints every day. In general, I only need the table to put my computer there and play games. I am unlikely to work or write at this desk. Yes, and I can not write beautifully, if, for example, I need to make a resume, then I order professional sop writing services. Study I have hardly ever will. So for me, the desk is more than entertainment.
