Thank you Jinx!!! Oooooh the lighter color would work great for me! But like you, $600 is too much for that chair. PLUS LIKE YOU - I really don't have a place for it, I'd have to get rid of something. I bought an oak armchair LAST YEAR with the cane seat (I'm a sucker for cane), and have yet to find a spot for it. I have a couple of chairs I'm going to get rid of and then move things around. I wish it was pillow covers, but i can do pillows!!! I change mine out a few times a year. Most of our home is done in green/aqua/blue so I can use these in a couple of different places. HAHA what a bunch of enablers we are!

Ok, here's my bench. The one that is due to arrive sometime in 2023, but who the heck actually knows when.

And to be fair, Jinx helped me initially think about a new chair for an awkward space in my living room, but that went in a different direction when nothing quite felt right with the chairs. It’s been some time since I've shopped for new furniture, and I was astonished at how high prices are now. Seriously, I'd see chairs online that I thought would be less than $300 and they'd turn out to be five times that amount. Clearly, I'm out of touch. That slipper chair above is so pretty, but again, why so much money?

I have a similar bench, called a copper grove mendocino. I just checked Overstock, where I purchased it in 2016.....the price has tripled! WHAT! Slipper chairs AND benches....insane the prices have shot up....

FYI I have ordered from the Inside and the items were not very good quality. I haven’t ordered upholstered furniture but would hesitate to do so if custom / unreturnable.

Kswl, I’ve never heard of them; I’m glad you chimed in with experience. Like Tina, I’d probably just order a pillow — she has convinced me I need other ones to switch out once in a while. :D

@ratherbesewing yes, but the swatch shows "out of stock". Kind of weird, you can't get a swatch, but can get the fabric. I prefer not to order the fabric without first seeing a swatch, especially after KSWL's response above, and the lonely 2 star review of the fabric. : (
