First I would remove the sad shutters. Next I would power wash the whole house. Then I would paint everything that is currently brown white (gutters, fascia, brick Moulding, etc). At that point assess and maybe paint the siding.

Romabio for masonry paint that can be color matched to the siding if you want to keep it that color. Seriously tackle the landscaping after that. Agree about removing shutters.

Remove the shutters and fill your yard with flowers. Run some flowering vines up your columns.

Paint and landscaping would help enormously. Are you just moving in, been there a while, or are you selling soon?

After powerwashing ( @HALLETT & Co. ), match an off white new paint sample to the siding and a white sample to the (unpaintable) window trim).

This all sounds lovely! It’s just hard for me to envision things not in front of me lol. We are just moving in and renovating the entire inside. We would just like the outside to match the light and bright and happy that we are bringing in.

If you are in an area that normally gets summer rain, you may be able revive the lawn with extra water and fertilizer. If you are in a drought area, wait until it rains in the fall to fertilize the grass, or consider xeriscaping options.

Ask your neighbors for a referral to a yard service that can clean up and edge the yard as a one-time job. It will make a big difference in how the place looks when you walk in.

When you have time, painting the inside of the garage white will make it much more pleasant to drive into the garage.

It has a lot of potential. Paint the brick and trim white. Replace the metal posts and railings with wood. Add some nice landscaping.

Remove the shutters. Paint match the white window trim and paint all the trim that white color. Paint the brick to match the siding using Romabio. Fix the steps to square or rectangle. The curve looks like someone is going to fall off. Paint the garage door to match the color you paint the brick. Then do a fun, happy color door. A I am sure you know you need landscaping

In addition to the many good suggestions above, I would replace the roof, as the grey color doesn't go at all. The wrought iron railing is very outdated, but if you can't replace at least paint it white along with all the dark trim.

That will be expensive, so things you can do right now are to start working on the landscaping. Tidying it up and getting rid of weeds will make it look a whole lot better. That grass looks pretty dead, so you might want to start with a clean slate. Consider removing it and replacing it with an easy to care for ground cover instead (ask a nursery what that would be for your area). You could also cover that area with some large plant beds with rocks and mulch. If you plant native species, they will require little-to-no watering after they've been established, and the local birds/bees will appreciate it!

Nikki, what a great house! With some easy changes it will be super cute! BTW, you can paint siding, so the sky is the limit wrt colors. I agree with the majority that you should remove the shutters and limewash or paint the brick. Box the vertical porch supports and replace th metal railing with…wait; no one has asked you what your style is. Will you look around and post some pics of houses you love? There is space to the right of the door to do a cute seating area. The whole porch and entry can be lovely once we know your style.
