For those who saw last night's show about the 2004 Thailand tsunami
Comments (7)I didn't see it so I can't say. It hits a little to close to home. My DS and SO were there three years ago, backpacking for a month. I gave them the lecture, you know the one all moms give their kids, and told them to run like HELL toward higher ground, if the water disappeared off the shoreline. While they were there, there was an earthquake off shore, and tsunami warnings were out. I was frantic trying to find out if they were alright. It was three or four days before I heard from them. They were fine, on the other side of the island when that happened, away from the warning area. I never want to go through that fear again!...See MoreHad our first dog fight last night.
Comments (27)Dog fights, even if just short arguments, are scary... especially between LARGE dogs. Had 2 Rotties years ago... totaled close to 200 lbs. They naturally played very rough.... remember a time when they tipped over the SOFA in play!! Maybe 2-3 times total, one got a little to rough and the other took offense... probably the smaller, BETA dog... I considered myself the alpha;) Same goes for territory as a fighting point. Went to SILs house years ago with a Dobie. They had a shepherd/husky mix and both dogs got along famously. The husky mix had a playful habit of nosing the back of my head... a quick jump and bump. Well, my dog took offense to that for some reason. BUT it wasn't her yard! Brief snarliing and lots of white teeth showing, but they didn't hurt each other. My dog learned it was NOT her yard that day and they never "fought" again>...See MoreCooked my first dinner in over a month last night!
Comments (11)I've been seeing a chiropractor on a monthly basis since a car accident something like 15 years ago. He released me from treatment from the wreck, but since my insurance covered it hubby and I go once a month, and LOVE it! Of course, some chiros want you to go vegan and do hot yoga and all that rot, some are just regular people like us! Who want to fix us! You have to shop around....See MoreAnyone watch AGT last night?
Comments (9)There were a couple that I was glad didn't make it through, but no one I was particularly rooting for. Drake Millegan is still my #1 favorite, with Chapel Hart 2nd in line. I've got a feeling they will probably win the whole thing, though. They've already stirred up a lot of interest. I saw on Facebook that they've been invited to sing on the Grand Ol' Opry, and with a chance like that, they don't need the AGT win. Rusty...See More
