Design Dilemma Kitchens Paint

wall paint color that goes with kitchen cabinets suggestions!

Can anyone give me any suggestions for a paint color that goes with Thomasville cabinets that has a cotton with toasted Almond on maple finish?? Im trying to pick a modern color that doesn’t pull any yellow from them. We have quite a big space with cabinets and south facing natural light. Thanks!!

Sorry but if modern was the plan why on earth those very traditional cabinets I have to say IMO glazed cabinets always look dirty so maye show us the whole space and BTW natural light is only 1/2 the lighting issue so make sure all the bulbs in all the fixtures are LED 4000K to mimic that bright sunlight

You have several samples pictured. Can you tell us what they are and what you do and don't like about them? It's easier to determine what the right color is in person as monitors may not present colors the same as IRL, but if you can give more information about what you see working and/or not working, maybe someone can offer a suggestion.

The range was always in the island, but there is no vent, so depending on the amount of cooking you do it could be an issue. If you want to the ceiling cabinets, why don't you have boxes built over the existing cabinet and purchase new doors. It doesn't seem to be enough space to add otherwise. But quite frankly, what you have is very nice. A medium gray on the walls could update this space. $5500 to paint the kitchen walls seems high to me.

So, I like color. A lot. We are buying a house in which we are remodeling the kitchen before moving in. I'd look for a tinted white/ barely there gray, as I prefer a white/neutral kitchen. as in this entry space gray door and light walls. You need to know the tones of gray cabinet paint- cool or warm.. Take a cabinet door to BM or Sherwin Williams or other paint store.....Ask staff to match it to one of their colors. Research palettes with that color. SW has several books that have pre-coordinated palettes --nearly all have a few gray shades.... Or web search example below. My current project: Laundry/ utility room was decided on colors we liked SWSea Salt and Eider White. The cabinet color is SWMindful Gray after reviewing many paint swatches. Then, last night I came across this, which reinforced the selections ETA. I hated the BM and SW color visualizers, those programs were not helpful. Search kitchens with gray cabinets. If a page doesn't have wall paint details, then save the image and use a Reverse Image search, which will show you to other sites with that image, like Instagram. Going to second the comment about the columns. The color is overwhelming and they, with the island, is dwarfing everything else. I suggest painting the the white of the rest of your trim, in the same semi-gloss. For the walls you need a color that works with both, the cabinets and the island. B.M. recommends Stone Harbor for Classic Gray. Stone Harbor will also go with the dark island.

Patricia, why must you insult people regarding the selections they have already made? We don’t care what YOU like - it’s not your kitchen (IMO 😂) And stop with the 4000K lighting recommendation every. single. time. Some of us don’t want kitchens as bright as operating rooms.

To the OP, I would stay away from anything too grey and go with a warmer neutral. Your cabinet selection is nice.

Sorry ,maybe modern was the wrong word. I actually prefer the traditional looking kitchens. Just looking for paint recommendations since there is so many colors out there!

Thank you for the warmer neutral suggestion. I’ll lean towards a color in that realm.

the almond or biscuit cabinets I think look good with the complementary blue walls..it need not be very intense or true blue..it can be a warmer/pale blue like this wall color. very nice w your cabinets. [I realize this a bath..but you get the vibe] pick a color w some life to go with the pretty cabs..why all the army khaki shades???

The further away you move, from the Yellow Hue Family of the cabinets, the more you will intensify the perception of their colour.

From the samples that you show above (whilst noting that online colour is a poor substitute for in-real-life colour), the 1st + 3rd swatch appear closer in Hue to the cabinetry.

Thus they are unlikely to make them appear more yellow.
