After the drought

Nancy 6b
last year

I always lose a few daylilies after bloom to crown rot. I lost more than usual this year, mostly new plants this spring, and a couple that have struggled so no real surprise there. Probably due to the drought. I watered some during the drought, but it was so very hot, as you know. Anyway, then we got rain. A lot of rain. Some plants that looked good during the drought are getting a lot of yellow leaves and I have lost some more plants. Annabelle's Blush is an established plant and looked good til the rain. It is down to 2 fans. Hopefully they will hang in there, I always liked that one. Lost a couple more new plants. Is anyone else seeing this? Sometimes I wonder if I cause rot by watering when it is so very hot.
