Oven too hot to touch on outside

We bought a new Forno 48” dual fuel and when baking anything in the oven, the front & side of the oven that extends slightly past the cabinet becomes too hot to touch for longer than a second. We knew buying this oven we were taking a risk as it is cheaper than other brands and seems to be somewhat unknown. Just wondering if that is the norm for these types of ovens? Is it safe? Will it damage the wood cabinets right up next to the side of the oven? Anyone else have experience with this?
