Does anyone know where I can purchase cushion slipcovers for a sectional sofa? We have a leather sectional where just the seat cushions are torn. Since we are thinking about moving, we don't want to invest in replacing or reupholstering right now. There are a couple of odd shaped cushions (corner and chaise end). Thanks!

We have a Lane recliner that was passed to son then to brotherin law. It is 22 years old & is still comfortable & solid! The stuff now doesnt look good--but this old recliner is awsome.

Where are you getting it slipcovered? When I got a quote on getting my chairs slipcovered I had the same problem but the upholsterer had many different weights and types of fabrics available to order. Does your upholsterer not have access or are you using a private person? The problem with using something underneath is that with a white cover you will likely be washing it fairly often and it will be a pain to arrange an underlayer each time. Maybe you could staple the underlayer on?

Finding someone to sew slipcovers has proved pretty difficult in my area, so I totally understand the challenge you face. My options were to go with a full service interior decorating company that offered upholstery/slipcover/drapery making or find a home-based or small business individual. Unfortunately none of the individual home decor sewing people advertise around here (I check Craigslist, classifieds, etc.). In my area word of mouth is the only way to find someone who makes slipcovers. I couldn't even get references from fabric shops. Hopefully it will be easier for you. So I got what I felt was a ballpark price by using the calculators on a couple different on-line slipcover sites as well as pricing Pottery Barn sectional slipcovers. What I found was that to have a sectional slipcover made in a fabric heavy enough to hide a dark fabric underneath would have cost close to $2K. However, to replace a high quality sectional probably costs at least $5K, so the slipcover cost can be justifiable. In my case, it wasn't.
