I did wonder about some kind of virus because of the weird sectional discoloration in the last pic.

I did some googling and I can't find anything that says that fig mosaic virus would cause the brown, dead areas, and most sites seem to say fig mosaic is no big deal. One video said if the plant is well fed, mosaic is a non-issue.

I just fed the fig tree, but I am worried about anthracnose. If it's that I need to get rid of the asap.

Could my plant have both?

Thanks Jordan! I'm so relieved to think anthracnose is probably not the cause. I'm in zone 11, in Malta (south Mediterranean) and I garden on my rooftop about 150 meters from the sea. This variety is apparently from southern Italy and Sicily so very very similar to my climate.

This tree was added in January. It doesn't have a special watering and feeding schedule, everything in my garden gets watered and fed the same frequency except the ones that need even less.

So in January, (our rainy season) I wasn't watering at all. Progressively as the temperature warmed and it got drier I bumped it up to every txo weeks, then weekly, then twice a week, and now in the hottest summer months I water every other day. I feed them "weakly weekly".

My other fig tree (Brogiotto Nero) has been fine, and loaded with big fruits. The problem one has tiny fruits that sometimes drop off. Just this morning I found a tiny, hard fig at his base that had fallen off overnight.

I hope it's just a cosmetic issue. If I'm doing something wrong I'm more than willing to correct course, but if 's got a bad fungal disease I'd rather throw out the tree.
