NEW: Garden Genie Grant Me A Wish Swap
Comments (150)HI ALL, Paula, I got your package, thank you, it was a five minute task! Treasea, I opened your package and all of your seeds are in there loose with no names so I'll treat them as extras and toss one into each envy until they are gone. I wish photobucket wasn't having issues, I'd love to post a pic of the extras that have been sent in. I'm waiting to get all the envies in before I begin the drop one in each until all the extras are gone. Lisa...See MoreBelated Mother's Day surprise, need advice please
Comments (146)First time poster on this thread. I'm imagining a little video montage of the kitchen remodel and big reveal, sprinkled with some of the posts here...it would make a great memory book! GO MORTARMIXER! :-) Btw, we have a 3-can lazy susan trash cabinet. No smell if we do as above posters recommend - empty regularly. Often, after I empty, I leave the door open to air out overnight. On trash and recycle day, I take out all 3 bins and wipe up the bottom, sides, underside of counter with the h2o / alcohol spray and paper towel. Easy Peezy....See MoreIngrid, care to join me?
Comments (10)Yes, people think it’s crazy, but that’s the only time it’s tolerable outside sometimes. You’re fortunate Ingrid, that you don’t have to worry what the neighbors think. My son says surely some of mine think I’m using some sort of speedy drug, that makes me want to work outside at night! I’m sure your critters are happy to see you out there, as they must know you are nurturing them. How funny that your bunnies prefer dog food. How did you figure out to even over them dog food? I never would have thought of that. I’m sure they are doubly grateful for the water. I bet many species of wildlife drink from it. Wouldn’t it be fun to set up one of those trail cameras, and see who all comes for a drink at night? Your very own nature channel! I watch lots of nature programs. Do the rabbits really leave your plants alone because you feed them? What a wonderful solution! I have a gopher(s) right now that is just ruining everything! Not everything is in gopher cages, and this morning one bed had been ransacked. There was originally no bare soil to be seen, but now large plants are completely gone. Some perennials are wilted and collapsed, while others have been pulled underground without hide nor hair left of them. A few days ago they ate ALL of my yams that I have been growing since April. So much for my special Thanksgiving plans for them. Sorry, I’m feeling pretty discouraged about it today. I really thought my sonic beeper things were effectively keeping them away from my yard, but suddenly I’m being overrun by them. I know it’s due to the hot and dry weather we’ve been having. They seem to eat whatever I’ve most recently watered. I’m afraid to water, but that’s a death sentence for the plants too......Lisa...See More...an evening stroll... do come and join me...
Comments (65)gdinieontario…. thanks so much, and for looking in here... also to Trish/Ingrid.... Re Mme Letuve de Colnet… yes I still wonder if it's the real McCoy or not... it's just the blooms seem smaller than Mme I P to me...but when I look at photos they do look very similar... the nursery I got it from does not sell Mme Isaac Pereire, but whether they sell it under this name, mistakenly or otherwise?... not sure.. I have photos of Mme I P from a nearby garden.. and I might go back there and have another look at it shortly to compare.. this is a photo of Mme I P from that garden.. ...this is my rose today... the bloom looks huge, but really it isn't that big.. ..it lightens to this colour and form... the foliage looks a bit different too.? I'm just not sure... I don't know anyone here who has Mme Isaac Pereire who could compare for me.. Trish... yes | might do that... it would be good to see who grows what in other areas... I only got into Astrantias just recently... never liked them much before......See MoreKathsgrdn
